Roses For Mama - Mother Day Poem

Kids Poems, Sweet kids poems

Lord, are there roses in your garden
On the shores of jubilee
Would you pick a dozen of your best
And deliver them for me?
For you see, today is mothers' day
And I can't visit my mom
For it wasn't very long ago
The angels came and took her home.
So if there are roses in your garden
On the shores of Jubilee
Would you pick a dozen of your best
And deliver them for me?
Would you take them to my mother
And tell her that I love her.
Tell her that I miss her
In oh! So many ways
But I have joy in knowing
We'll meet again someday
And we'll pick roses together
On the shores of Jubilee.

Excuses, Excuses - Lovely Kids Poem

Kids Poems, Poems for Kids, Lovely Kids Poems

It happened just by accident,
I promise that it did.
It opened on its own as it sprung out from where it hid.

It was like that when I got here,
That's very true you know.
And I'm sorry that it fell and landed right on your big toe.

It happened while my back was turned,
I'm just as shocked as you.
I didn't see it tumble till it bounced right off your shoe.

So believe me when I tell you,
That's it's not to do with me.
Even if the sticky prints match mine, not sure why that might be!

The Aliens Have Landed! - Poems for Kids

 Kids Poems

The aliens have landed!
It's distressing, but they're here.
They piloted their flying saucer
through our atmosphere.
They landed like a meteor
engulfed in smoke and flame.
Then out they climbed immersed
in slime
and burbled as they came.
Their hands are greasy tentacles.
Their heads are weird machines.
Their bodies look like cauliflower
and smell like dead sardines.
Their blood is liquid helium.
Their eyes are made of granite.
Their breath exudes the stench of foods
from some unearthly planet.
And if you want to see these
sickly, unattractive creatures,
you'll find them working in your school;
they all got jobs as teachers.

Mask - Kids Poems

kids poems, poems for kids   , muslim boys names in urduarabic boys names,

I was once sad and lonely,
Having nobody to comfort me,
So I wore a mask that always smiled;
To hide my feelings behind a lie.

Before long, I had many friends;
With my mask, I was one of them.
But deep inside, I still felt empty,
Like I was missing a part of me.

Nobody could hear my cries at night
For I designed my mask to hide the lies.
Nobody could see the pain I was feeling
For I designed my mask to be laughing.

Behind all the smiles were the tears
And behind all the comfort were the fears.
Everything you think you see,
Wasn't everything there was to me.

Day by day,
I was slowly dying.
I couldn't go on,
There was something missing..

Until now I'm still searching
For the thing that'll stop my crying.
For someone who'll erase my fears,
For the person who'll wipe my tears.

But till then I'll keep on smiling.
Hiding behind this mask I'm wearing.
Hoping one day I can smile,
Till then, I'll be here.. waiting.

The Plug-Hole Monster - Kids Poems

The gurgling, burbling plug-hole monster,
Is waiting to slurp up your bath!
Skulking below in the bowels of the drain,
It belches its bubbling wrath!

Biding its time, till you pull out the plug,
Watch out, or it nibbles your feet!
The terrible, blubbering beast there within,
Is something you don't want to meet!

A blobulous mass of suddy shampoo,
It gulps dirty water with glee.
Then shiftily checks for the presence of toes,
And, with luck, the occasional knee!

So take heed and beware as you finish your soak,
And ensure that you keep your legs clear!
Let it swig till it's full, hear it grumble and moan,
And despondently then disappear!

Not What it Seems - poems for kids

baby girl images free download, baby girl pics for facebook

A peanut is in fact a bean,
Tomatoes fruit, not veg.
Bananas are a berry but,
The straw ones not, I pledge.

A velvet ant is just a wasp,
King Crabs are not crustaceans.
A lizard is the Horny Toad,
The Seahorse, no relation.

Sticks of chalk are just not that,
In pencils there's no lead.
And salt is not a salt at all,
It really hurts my head.

The funny bone's a nerve, you know,
No laugh it makes you do.
An Elephant's a type of fish,
(That last one isn't true!)
